Echocardiography

An echocardiogram, often referred to as a cardiac echo or simply an echo, is a sonogram of the heart. (It is not abbreviated as ECG, because that is an abbreviation for an electrocardiogram) Echocardiography uses standard two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and Doppler effect to create images of the heart.

A Doppler ultrasound is a test that uses high frequency sound waves to measure the amount of blood flow through your arteries and veins for vascular flow studies.

Prior appointment and copy of the prescription is needed.

Preparation: Echocardiography services are available against prior appointment. Patients with appointment should report at the centre 1 hour prior the appointment time.
